Sender-filled fields, also known as manual merge fields, are now available in ShareFile’s PDF Document Templates. This closes a longstanding gap for teams who need to type in variable details—like a negotiated price, an effective date, or a custom clause—right before sending a document for signature.

What’s new

• Add text, date, dropdown, checkbox, and checkbox group fields
• Fill required variables during the send flow with completion tracking
• Combine manual and system-filled variables in the same template

Who is this for?

Anyone with permission to create templates and send them for signature. Available in Premium, VDR, and Industry Advantage plans.

Why use it?

This helps reduce reliance on local edits or multiple template versions and supports migration of existing templates that used manual merge fields.
